Guys and Gals!
January is gone. . .and it seems 2012 is moving quickly through it's seasons. Before one knows it we will be back to warm and glorious summer! With summer comes all the "doings of summer". . .beach cookouts, picnics and. . . hotrod runs!
A recap of "what's new" with SOCRC. . .Last month SOCRC was the National Roadster Show attended by Dick Bennett and his friend John (in that mean little black roadster,) Dorothy and Gene Stark, Walt Otto, Jim Mitchell and his lady Bonnie, Ed May, Dennis Avery and Jim and I. Jim and my day was made even better by sharing a bit of lunch with our good friend and Cal Rods Club Member Gene Hopcus. It was a great show and a beautifully warm January day -- who could ask for more? The show featured a tribute to the cars built in 1932 - an 80 year anniversary for that year of vehicle. So many wonderful cars and the "people watching" was terrific!
Jim and I loved the Dry Lakes showing at "The Back Seat Drive-In" so much, we have kept in online for this month's feature just in case any of you out there missed it in January. Make sure to turn on your speakers as this show is accompanied by some terrific Ry Cooder guitar music.
